a special invitation (or what blowouts and hair treatments have to do with refugees)

Admittedly, this blog post will not apply to many of our followers. To those of you who live far enough away that attending this event is impossible, I apologize for clogging up your newsfeeds.

But we've had a bunch of new followers lately and I'm not sure where many of you live. So I made the decision this morning to tell everyone about this extra special REACT FOR REFUGEES event happening on September 25 in the Charlotte area.

You see, it's special for professional but also for some very personal reasons.

The owners of Salon Naman—Amy and Chris Naoum—in Rock Hill, SC have been longtime family friends. (Below, they are pictured helping us get ready on my wedding day eight years ago. They were two of only 40 guests invited to the wedding!) They are hands down the kindest, most generous people on the planet and have consistently used their businesses as vehicles of good in their community and around the world.

When they heard about the work we are doing through The Off Ramp and Threads by Nomad with refugees—specifically with Afghan refugees right now—they wanted to help.

They have designed a day of shopping and special activities at their salon—and much of the proceeds will go to The Off Ramp. Their stylists are donating their time for blowouts and hair treatments. There are special product-filled tote bags, a coffee camper, a pop-up shop, and so much more in the works!

The event is going to be MAJOR:

Salon Naman limited edition totes filled with loads of product for $50 (VALUE $416.50!) and ALL the proceeds will support The Off Ramp.

We're popping up with ALL of our clothing, jewelry, accessories, gifts, and home goods!

The whole salon is 25% and a percentage of all sales will be donated to The Off Ramp.

You can book a blowout and treatment for a minimum donation of $35 and ALL the proceeds will be given to The Off Ramp.

You can grab a cup of coffee thanks to the Rock Hill Coffee Roasters' camper OR try Salon Naman's new signature blend launching that same day!

Thank you to Salon Naman! Thank you to Amy and Chris for being such remarkable friends and supporters, for the good that they proactively put out into the world, and for making this event happen.

Whether you're in it for the shopping, the blowouts, the tote, or the coffee, we hope to see you on the 25th!! Share, spread the word, and bring your friends!
