how can i keep my skateboards grip tape in top condition?i just got a new board and it already has dirt and scuff marks on it plz help

keep water away from it and it'll last a while, dirt doesn't wreck it if you get a lot on there use an old tooth brush and just dry brush it off, anything else left will just skate off. It' going to get scuffs mark, same as your skateboard if you never want it to have this stuff than go place it in a closet and never skate on it.
